Trip Hazard Remedies

Posted by Tom Merry on March 5, 2012

Trip hazards in concrete sidewalks and walkways present significant liabilities for property owners. We offer remedies to these problems.

In this picture below, root damage from a nearby tree has cause the concrete sidewalk panels to raise and has become a tripping hazard. Under most circumstances it is preferable to remove the roots and/or the entire tree that are contributing to the problem. If the roots are not removed, the same problems is likely to happen again soon.

We can also have potholes from deterioration of the pavement that create tripping hazards. Below is a rather extreme and comedic example of the power of erosion from water.
